Call for public input— the draft CNMI Comprehensive Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan is here!

The draft of the plan that will chart a sustainable path forward for management of the CNMI's solid waste is here and available for public review. The CNMI Comprehensive Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan, or CISWMP, covers the development, operations, and maintenance of compliant landfilling, recycling, and composting facilities for Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and the Northern Islands. It includes supporting activities such as education and outreach, conservation, and more.

View the plan, be part of the CISWMP development process, and provide any suggestions, comments, or concerns regarding the plan by visiting the CISWMP Info Hub, found at opd.gov.mp/ciswmp. The public comment period is open until December 4, 2023, 4:30pm ChST.
