CNMI Economic Recovery and Feasibility Carry Capacity Study

About the project

This project In light of the dual impacts of Super Typhoon Yutu and the COVID-19 pandemic, the project identifies resources, opportunities, and challenges fostering sustainable economic growth. Through community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and research, our team collaborates with local stakeholders to assess economic conditions and supply chain interruptions. The study aims to build a resilient economy for the CNMI by focusing on community and workforce development, economic diversification, and sustainability, ensuring that these efforts align with the region’s long-term objectives and support future growth.

Additionally, collaboration with academic institutions further enhances student engagement in research initiatives, contributing to CNMI's economic success. Guided by the vision, "One Community, One Economy, One Vision: Building a resilient future together through economic diversification and community empowerment," this project delivers practical recommendations to ensure a prosperous and sustainable future for the islands

This Statewide Planning Grant project is made possible through funding provided by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), with support from our federal grantor, the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA).
