IT TAKES A VILLAGE 🇲🇵♻️

ANNOUNCEMENTS | February 04, 2026

Keeping our islands healthy and clean through responsible solid waste management and recycling takes all of us – from planners and regulators to the field staff on the ground at places like the Marpi Landfill on Saipan, and people like you!

Since last year, the CNMI Department of Public Works (DPW) and its contractor, Micronesian Environmental Services (MES), have been shredding thousands of tons of Super Typhoon Yutu debris piled up at the Marpi Landfill. This will free up space for more of the CNMI's trash for decades to come.

Keep up with the Inter-Island Solid Waste Management Taskforce by following the CNMI Office of Planning and Development 📢
